SIGAL Reactive Brown elastic
The Reactive rubber bands, distributed by Sigalsub, are sold in the classic diameters 16, 17.5, 19mm and in addition also in the 14.5mm version already used in other countries for the construction of multi-rubber spearguns.
This elastic is a product capable of imparting a high thrust to the rod and is characterized by a low pressure drop.
The values of the 17.5mm torque with elongation factor equal to the 350% are about 45-50kg, the loss after a traction of 30 minutes varies between 1 and 2%.
Given the high energy return of this elastic, the best performance can be obtained by using less exaggerated than usual elongation factors, obtaining a powerful shot but with greater ease in loading, to the full benefit of less fatigue during fishing.

– DIRECTIONS for making a circular elastic band:
Take the measure L on your speargun.
L = from the notch or from the pin on which the wishbone is to be placed to the seat of the elastic in the muzzle.
14mm elastic bands: (L cm x 2 ) / 3.4
16mm elastic bands: (L cm x 2 ) / 3.2/3.3
ger the cm necessary for the ligatures.
Example: suppose L is 80cm and you need to prepare a 16mm elastic :
80cm x2 = 160cm
160 : 3.3 = 48.48cm
48.48 + 3 cm ( cm for standard bindings) = 51.48 cm
– DIRECTIONS for making a single elastic:
Take the measure L on your speargun.
L = from the notch or from the pin on which the wishbone is to be placed to the seat of the elastic in the muzzle.
14mm elastic: L cm / 3.4
16mm elastic: L cm / 3.2/3.3
add the cm needed for the bindings.
Example: suppose L is 80cm and you need to prepare a 16mm elastic :
80cm : 3.3 = 24.24cm
24.24 + 3 cm (cm for standard bindings) = 27.24 cm
I will then need to cut a 16mm elastic 27.24cm long.
